Description
Testimony of Abigail Nightingale given in the trial of the death of Sarah Grosvenor. Sarah Grosvenor died in 1742 from an infection that resulted from a surgical abortion administered by Dr. John Hallowell. Abigail Nightingale, Sarah's friend, gave testimony sometime between 1745 and 1747. Nightingale's testimony includes a description of the surgical abortion performed by Dr. Hallowell.
